I once had a friend who loves Mimosa trees. She would tell me how she thought they equaled to pure summer moments. I remember these trees best from going to Florida with my family. It just seems like it belongs to that state’s landscape. But now I see them everywhere in northeast Georgia. This particular one is a Persian Silk Mimosa Tree. Southern Living Magazine calls it the tree you love and hate mainly because of all the action that takes place with this tree. It drops buds, leaves, and becomes very bare in the winter and ends up looking like a stick tree. But in the summer when it is in its glory, it shouts of summer and warm welcoming evenings at home with friends.
