In England this cool little “box” would be called “The Post” . . . as in, “I’m going to check the post, and I’ll be back in a minute.” But in America, it is called a mail box . . . as in, “I think I will go and check the mail.” Regardless, I just thought it was interesting enough to photograph.

Everyday we miss lines and patterns that really add character to the world around us. These photos were taken this past weekend while I was visiting the city of Rome, Georgia. The old buildings in the downtown area were wonderful, and I found that I kept asking my photographer friend Beth, “Now, why are you not living here?” It is really a pleasant city with two colleges and lots of places to eat and play.
