No kayaking this weekend just time spent with Cocoa Joy and Chip. Here we are at Black Mountain State Park.

I love her eyes. When she was a baby they were green but they turned, of course, and became a brilliant amber.

Chip is trying to figure out the car that was once a part of the Tallulah Falls Incline railroad. Cars like this one took workers deep into Tallulah Gorge where they worked on the construction of the power plant that was at the north end of Tugalo Lake shown in the photo below.

Another dam is in the distance and I’m wondering if this is the lake that several of us will paddle sometime in the next week or so.
