You often hear me say I “grabbed the dogs and headed out the door with my cameras.” Well, it’s true. I took this photo the other afternoon with the dogs in tow. They were hanging out the rear windows as I drove through the Wolffork Valley. Actually, all they were interested in doing was looking for cows! Open fields (in the mountains) usually mean a cow (or a herd of cows) is within “sniff” range. Recently, a friend commented, “If it’s cows you want, I’ll get you cows.”

“Really?” I asked. “Can you really get Chip close to a cow?” I’ll let you know if we truly do get nose-to-nose with the only animal on the planet that goes Mooooooooooooooooooooooo!
