I absolutely love fir trees. They remind me of winter and of warm times with friends—times when you linger long over a cup of hot coffee or tea and talk about life and all that you are learning. Over the years, I have found my favorite time of the day is sunset. It equals a time of leisure, rest, and usually involves being in the company of loved ones . . . and of course my beloved dogs.

Okay—now for the C. S. Lewis quote of the week: “Friendship is the greatest of worldly goods. Certainly to me it is the chief happiness of life. If I had to give a piece of advice to a young man about a place to live, I think I should say, ‘Sacrifice almost everything to live where you can be near your friends.'”
