I’m really getting into these afternoon storms. They are super charged and beautiful. I was out with the camera this afternoon taking photos at Traveler’s Rest when I noticed lightening at the lake. You got it; I jumped in the SUV and drove the few yards to see it. It was hard to believe that people were actually on their boats (pulling kiddos around), but then I can’t believe I was on Broken Bridges (metal bridge) with a camera in my hand.

The clouds just blew by. There’s something amazing about the change in the air right before a storm hits.

The crazy thing about these storms is that the sun keeps peaking through the clouds. Some of my photos at Traveler’s Rest have sunlight on the old inn.
