I’m going to be honest: I’m glad winter is over, and I don’t want to think about fall or anything else that has to do with cool weather. I love the flowers of spring and the idea of trampling through the mountains and visiting friends—new and old. I love the idea of stepping away from the city. I grew up in Atlanta and have done well there, but those who know me also know I don’t want to retire where there is 12 lanes of bumper-to-bumper traffic. After all is said and done, I want to go home to the mountains!

This past Saturday I enjoyed being in the mountains! There was no pressing agenda and I relaxed by visiting Abby Jackson’s Soque River Farm. Abby’s so talented and energetic . . . and she is about to release her first cookbook and already has a really wonderful magazine that is published under her name.

Fun signs at Abby’s Farmer’s market at Soque River Farms in Clarkesville.

Fresh Okra too . . . .

Fresh peaches . . . .

And so much more!

Lovely!
