The trail up to the top of Fort Mountain is easy even though it is rocky. Plus, it is one of the quietest places we go. You can reach it in a little over an hour from northwest Atlanta. Once you are there, you realize  you have left the city far behind.

Can you find the heart in this rock? We noticed it as we were heading up the trail to the observation deck. I’m always finding hearts with Cocoa and my former neighbor Opal. Weird, I know but whenever Opal was around I would spot a rock in my yard that were shaped like a heart. Sweet reminders of her endearing friendship and love.
