I’ll get the hang of photographing in and around this new city. It’s just going to take some time. No cows, foxes, or bears here but there are a few scattered deer. You just have to be quick to catch a glimpse of one. On Wednesday morning after two full days of rain, I noticed sunlight streaming down through the clouds and was immediately distracted. (It really doesn’t take much.) Instead of driving straight to work, I took a short detour to the top of Kennesaw Mountain where I shot this photo of a man standing near the railing looking out toward the city of Atlanta.
From the top of the mountain, you can see the city. Those who live here know it spreads north . . . along Peachtree Street toward Buckhead, which is barely visible along the horizon. Stone Mountain is at the extreme left and is almost cropped out of this photo.
