We were up in the gorge area again yesterday. Later, I’ll post photos of the beautiful trail the dogs hiked. But for now, I thought I would simply post this shot. Normally, the water level of this little lake would be higher. It may have been a release weekend at the gorge (when they release water into Tallulah Gorge for whitewater canoeing and kayaking). When that happens water levels in the lake and small pools drop. Still, the thing that is always so pronounced to me is the fact that these lakes and water ways are very deep. Even when they are not at full pool, they contain a lot of water.
