I'm still chasing sunsets. Last night it was raining when I took this photo. Raining on the left side (thus the darkness) and sun shining on the right. You can see a "pass" in the center of the lake that leads to even more backwater, streams, and mountain coves.
Right now, the river near Yonah Dam is laced with Mimosa Trees. This is a photo of a small creek that feeds into the larger river. It was taken later in the evening and because the area is surrounded by small mountains sunlight fades quickly. I'll probably go back and take another photo only earlier [...]
I absolutely love it when friends from Atlanta visit. Without fail, Toccoa Falls is always a true surprise to them. It's 186 feet high, and I never take it for granted. Every time I see it, I think: "Wow, this really is beautiful." Judy and her sister Carolyn thought so, too.
