We had a surprise moment last weekend as we traveled to the end of Betty’s Creek Road in Clayton County. We came up on waterfalls! I really needed a “water” moment and these were lush, quiet, and beautiful!

They were located on the grounds of a retreat center that has cabins for rent. The pathways were pristine!

More than likely, the stream was spring fed making it super cool or I would have waded in.

Love ferns in early summer. Nothing special here just a lush moment worth remembering.

We found the lower falls after a short walk down a steep incline. No one was there. It would have been a perfect place to sit on the rocks and just do nothing but take in the view and the streaming sunlight.

Hiking back out, I saw this guy and thought he was worthy of a post!.
