I’m not a camper, but I do love picnics and this is a place when I was in college that I often drove to in North Carolina. It’s in the Pisgah National Forest, which is a favorite and just beautiful. I  like it better than the Blue Ridge Parkway because it is hidden, tucked away, and not as many people drive the road that runs through the forest and connects with the parkway. It is sweet and filled with waterfalls.

The Davidson River is crystal clear and teeming with trout.

I love the trees. We found Chestnuts and Buckeyes and felt like we were walking through “another” world!

An indigo blue sky greeted us on Saturday after weeks of rain, fog, and mist.
