On the 4th some of us decided to go to Seed Lake, which is one of the lakes in a string of Georgia Power lakes in northeast Georgia. I’ve been there before and it has been really quiet and a simple place within a short driving distance.
It looks quiet but trust me it wasn’t. We had to share this little lake with lots of ski boats. It was sort of like being in a water rodeo!
I love the colors of summer and especially the colors of these lakes. They are quite deep and I think the depth adds to the richness of the water.
I took time to skirt the shoreline and check out what was left of the rhododendron.
Of course, I had to find an American flag to photograph on America’s birthday.
Looks lovely, Angie. Makes me want to get out on the water with you guys again. (But your mountain laurel is really rhododendron.) 🙂
