I love this place. I say that all the time but there is so much that we can do—free. We are forever taking the kayaks out and exploring the Georgia Power lakes that are in a chain and drop down into Stephens County.

Because these lakes were constructed in the mountains, there are plenty of rocky areas and coves with waterfalls. We got out of our kayaks and climbed the rocks to a point where we could watch this family having some summertime fun.

Right now, we are trying to decide where to go on tomorrow’s excursion. But I can tell you that if you want a lifestyle that offers some stress relief, this is a good place to begin.
