While we were at Callaway Gardens this past weekend, we visited the Day Butterfly House. I always have trouble getting good photographs in this location because the lighting is either glaring or dark and the butterflies are fast! Many are very young, and they  fly in what seems to be all directions at once. The one in the photo above landed on my foot. About the same time, a worker walked by and cautioned me not to touch “the butterflies.”

“What do I do if one is touching me?” I asked. She smiled, “You wait until it moves on.”

This little guy had just been released and was trying to stretch his wings for the first time.

And these two were in a mating frenzy. But I made sure that none of my photographs were X rated. Cheers!
