One of my favorite things to do is to go for a drive in the mountains on the day after Christmas. Neel’s Gap always calls to me after the first of the year, but after Christmas, I love to drive up to North Carolina and especially to the Highlands.

I was a bit under the weather this year and after a short shopping trip, we heading for Dry Falls to photograph it before sunset. Then to the market for pizza and home.

I love the trees in the winter against the sky.

Saw this small house as we were leaving and stopped to take its photo! I would love to have that bench at the house in Toccoa!
