Last night was a wonderful ending to a really good day—dinner at the Nacoochee Grill in the Sautee-Nachoochee Valley north of Toccoa. Last weekend we had hiked along the Unicoi Turnpike, and as we traveled to the restaurant our conversation turned to the hike and how we wanted to learn more about it. Everyone in the car looked outside the windows and took in the quiet beauty of the moment. The evening star had just appearing (a speck in this photo), and there was such a sense of warmth and goodness hanging over us.

Then my eyes dropped down to her GPS settings in the car and there it was—our exact location—the Unicoi Turnpike! Who would have thought that something so ancient would show up on something so advanced and modern.
