I felt like this today when I got up—peaceful, well rested, and full of wonder. Summer is here. We lean into it—go barefoot, chase fireflies(!), and take long walks in the evenings. Conversations linger. Also there’s the Ecclesiastes verse: Two [really] are better . . . .

Then I remembered Chipley! He likes to eat these things, and suddenly my “mood” shifted. He runs from one dandelion to another swallowing them up until he begins to choke, wheeze, and gag. (Yikes!) And with that memory, I wonder what in the world I was thinking when I opened this file!! (smiling)
