For a split second, I had the opportunity to take this photo void of boats and jet skis on Lake Allatoona. This scene is about 15 or 20 minutes from the house. I had never been there before. I got off at this exit on 75 north by mistake. It was later in the day, the dogs were crazy wanting to go for a walk, and I loaded them up and headed north. The trail at Allatoona Pass was well worth the adventure. I’ll go back to this area soon. But if you go, don’t go alone. The trail leads out to a remote area, and there are signs in the parking lot warning about “break-ins” in cars. (That is typical for the Civil War battlefield areas and this is a national battlefield!) It is mind numbing, but I always have “people” and dogs with me. Cocoa gives this area four paws. She would have given it five paws, if it felt safer in the parking lot.
