Here is a front porch that beckons you to step up on it and as the Southerners say, "Sit a while." Friends at Black Gum Hill invited us to come up for the long weekend, and we were more than happy to accept their invitation. Thank you, dear friends!
Balsam Mountain probably would be a great place to run free but not for a city dog that has never really been off lead. And really, she is not "studying the landscape." She is looking for squirrels!
Somehow last week, Cocoa hurt her dew paw in the backyard. It was nothing serious, but we did end up in the vet's office. Of course now, there is lots of conversation with everyone as to how it happened. Was it the result of the last squirrel run that ended in frustration at the back [...]
Cocoa is not one who enjoys being left behind. In this photo, she is waiting for friends to come out on to the porch. She is happiest when everyone is together in one place. After all if you are "out of sight," you could be eating a cookie or some other treat without her.
