I love this drive up to Hog Pen Gap. The AT runs through here and it is always a great place to stop for a photograph!

I went on and landed at Vogel State Park. Wow, was that a wrong decision! People everywhere. Suddenly, I realized that I’m use to being in a more wilderness setting with friends, and Wessy.

I will say that yellow was everywhere and that is probably my favorite color in autumn.

We walked to the end of the lake and the small water fall that is located there. And there were still people everywhere. I took this photo really between two onlookers and then turned and got out of there! Still, the colors were beautiful and the mountains were wonderful—just needed my Wessy to enjoy it all.
