The trip to North Carolina this past Saturday was just what I needed. We drove from waterfall to waterfall dodging snowflakes and a little bit of sleet. This is Cullasaja Falls on the Cullasaja River.
Cold hands wrapped around hot coffee mugs as we talked about how good Cocoa was doing and how grateful we all were to God for His care over her. This is Dry Falls.
Cocoa still doesn’t know what to do in the snow. She’s pure southern and does better with woodland trails in much warmer months!
Highway 64 has some beautiful waterfalls, and they are just minutes from one another.
I really think this is one of my favorite photos—a snowy river. And yes that is a sheet of ice in the center. My mind wants to imagine this river in late spring from the seat of a kayak!
Bridal Veil Falls was almost completely frozen over! No driving under it last Saturday.
