When life takes a different turn than what you expected, the best place to be on Sunday is in church! One of my favorite verses is found in Psalm 91: “He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge” (v. 4). I do wish I had the opportunity to walk back through the doors of this old place of worship, but I can’t do that today. It’s located somewhere in the English countryside. But there is a little church down the street that will work just as well.
I sure missed you in church yesterday! It is not the same without you and Pat!!! Dr. Stanley preached on “Walking Away From God”! Surely he’ll come to his senses and ask you back!
Angie, Susan told me the news last week, and I was so disheartened for you. Please know that we are praying for you. I have so enjoyed interacting with you this past year. I know the Lord has gifted you and has something great in store.
Angie, this is such a peaceful picture. I would love to have a copy of it framed on my office wall. First, it would remind me of you and your eye for the beautiful things of this world and second, it would remind me of the call to faithfulness through the open door of Christ. I know He’s just on the inside waiting . . .
