Water for Cocoa Joy

Hiking in northeast Georgia can make a dog thirsty. Cocoa gets a drink after walking with Donna and others up the path. Wow, what a day she had! A park ranger at Anna Ruby Falls let her sniff several skins from local “critters.” Her favorite sniff was that of a possum and not the raccoon.

When Cocoa was a baby, her trainer Xalina (Dog School 101) called her a little monkey. Looking at this photo, I can understand how she came to that conclusion.

She’s such a good dog and so much fun to be with. Someone wrote: “A dog is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.” – Unknown

Cocoa Joy’s Adventure

I love this dog! I say that all the time. On Sunday, we went on another walk with members from my church. They are a part of Cocoa’s pack now. She loves each one and usually gets passed from one person to another as she gives out dog kisses and hugs along the way.

Savannah Blooms

Spring in Savannah is still one of my favorite things. This lovely cherry tree was on one of the city’s square near the river front.

Dogwood Beauty

Filed under: Hiking Through Northeast Georgia

I started to title this photo: “How I got poison ivy” because I got it taking this photo on Currahee Mountain. The dogwoods on the mountain were beautiful. They are natural and very dense in the woods but evidently so was the poison ivy.
