I rode down to the falls yesterday morning, and from a distance I could see the mist bellowing out of the gorge as the water hit the rocks at its base. Though it was still drizzling, I walked the pathway to see the sight that never fails to move me. I always imagine Evelyn and Richard Forrest, the founders of the college, standing near this spot and singing: “O Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder consider all the worlds thy hands have made, I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy pow’r through-out the universe displayed, then sings my soul, my Savior God to thee; How great thou art, how great thou art!”

What a rainy, rainy day we had today in northeast Georgia.

The students continue to decorate pumpkins and for some silly reason, I continue to take their photos!

Miss J’s mom sent this to me this morning, and I just had to post it. Sorry “Mom.” but it made me laugh when I saw “little Miss J” peeking at the photographer to her right. She so belongs at this college!

The students are on fall break—and faculty members are, too. But we have reminders that they’ll soon be back.
