Nothing to Add

Yesterday afternoon we stopped by Traveler’s Rest again, and Cocoa actually let me take her photo. The dogs love this place because there are so many wild sniffs. In fact, I guess that is what jazzes them about living in this area—no common city smells for them anymore. They get to smell where the “wild things” live. Below, Chipley is playing with a chip of wood from one of the pine trees at Traveler’s Rest. Sticks and pieces of bark continue to be his favorite (and not allowed) toys.

Cocoa Joy

A friend took this photo of me and Cocoa Joy last weekend. She was refusing to let me take her photo. But when I picked her up,  she just dropped her head on my arm and relaxed. That’s when we got this photo of her—just being Cocoa.

I love This Dog!

Filed under: For•rest Cottage, Paw Prints

I’m crazy about this dog. I love her eyes; they’re so like I want to be—calm and sure. And yes, it is still snowing at  For•rest Cottage. In fact, a short while after this photo was taken, I looked out the window and realized the entire driveway was covered in snow. More photos to come . . . .

Horsing Around!

This week’s favorite thing to dislike: horses! I promise to take a video of this sort of thing because, especially when Chipley is concerned, it is pretty wild! He doesn’t like big animals while Cocoa thinks they are so coooooool. That’s the result of her Dog School 101 training.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Silhouetted and waiting to go up into the mountains for the day, these two share a Valentine’s moment together.

PJ, the kitty, found a fun place to sit and watch the snow on Saturday morning.
