The only one that would go outside with me last night in-between storms was Chip. He will be 13 weeks old this coming weekend, and after a few minutes, even he abandoned me!

My friend, who is Director of Alumni and Church Relations at Toccoa Falls College, has a natural ability to recruit students. Here she is trying to “sign” Chipley up for Fall ’09! Under what degree program you may ask? “Communications!” It is all about learning how to win the princess’s heart. And did she have advice for Sir Chip? You bet: “Learn to watch, sit, and stay!” Princesses love attention, and Cocoa Joy is no exception.

Chip whispers a secret to good friend Mary Erna outside of Dog School 101. He was seeking advice as to how he can win the Princess Cocoa Joy’s heart. Did she have any insight into how this could be done?

I got to go to the college for two whole days, Cocoa stayed at home in jail (Bark Avenue Pet Resort) Ha!, and Miss Paula did not know I was at the Guest House—until maybe now. But I had my kennel to stay in when no one was around, and we vacuumed the floor before we left.

On Saturday, we finally had an opportunity to get out in the sun and enjoy being together for a few minutes. This pond (in Atlanta) had lots of ducks, which are Cocoa’s favorite things to watch. They would take off, glide over us, and then land perfectly in the lake. After looking at this photo, its hard to imagine that the forecast for Monday and Tuesday includes snow flurries!

Of course, Chip was there, too.
