Just Beautiful!

Filed under: A Present Peace, Fall and Winter in the Mountains, Holidays 09

A late afternoon drive beside the Allegheny River led to this photo. The snow had stopped, but there is more on the way. I’m almost ready to return to Cocoa Joy and warmer weather. I talked with her trainer at Dog School 101 today and learned that she is being quite the big sister to Chip—protecting him and not allowing a pushing Yorkie to control his every step! Precious. Oh, I need a dog hug!!

Snowy Scenes from PA

Here’s something we rarely see in Georgia—a river with ice along the banks.

I don’t have anything special to write about these photos other than just enjoy the scenery! . . .  The one above does remind me of powdered sugar on cookies. (smile)

In reading Letters to an American Lady this morning, I ran across this quote and wanted to share it with you.

“You and I who still enjoy fairy tales have less reason to wish actual childhood back. We have kept its pleasures and added some grown-up ones as well.” —C. S. Lewis

“For broken dreams the cure is, dream again and deeper.” — C. S. Lewis

I hope these words will encourage you not to give up no matter what you face. God has a plan, He has a way mapped out through the storm, and He will bring you out into the light of His amazing love and hope. Never forget that He makes all things new. His blessings are for today and forever!
