Early this week, our temperatures were still in the 90’s! So we took the kayaks out later in the afternoon just to see if the trees were beginning to change, and they are—slowly. The leftover stress of the day always just falls off whenever I am near water or paddling the river.

Fall is definitely on the way but these sunset photos make it seem more dramatic than it really is.

There’s still lots of green mingled with a little bit of color. When the lake is at full pool, these rocks are covered!

One of the advantages of lower lake levels is the opportunity to get out of the boat and walk the shoreline. You never know what you will find. Mmmmm Heron tracks!
