I finally found the small falls at Black Mountain State Park. They are located near the entrance to the camping area and at the end of a short (.25) trail. But the pathway is very steep and involves some narrow steps. It was worth the walk but when the brochure and map say, “steep,” they means steep! The trail features lichen-covered rocks, ferns, wildflowers, rhododendron, and hardwoods. Cocoa give this hike three paws. Though it was beautiful, it was steep and short. She enjoys at least a mile walk so she can spend time sniffing and checking out areas where wild creatures live.

The Taste of Toccoa was held this past Thursday evening, and Cocoa and I got to go! It’s the event where she helps city workers clean up the mess left behind. This year she worked on cleaning up dropped potato chips and much more.

This was taken right in front of Buckingham Palace where William and Cathrine will pass by today after exchanging vows at Westminster Abbey.

I just had to post something from England since the world’s eyes are turned in that direction today. The first time I visited London in 2001, I was able to get up close and personal with the Queen’s Welsh guards at Buckingham Palace. This photo is from film, and it’s the first time I have tried to post something taken with an older Nikon. Guess it will do for now.

Yesterday, I noticed this rose was wide open but later in the evening, it was closed. It is one of my antique roses, and though it is small, it’s pretty special. This is why I wanted to share it with you.
