Gentle Breeze

For days, I have “loitered” around an attractive but abandoned city lot in hopes of taking a good photo of the wisteria that is in full bloom there. Some photos turned out too dark. Others were too soft. One seemed right but something was missing—a splash of sunlight across the wisteria’s petals. The D200 struggled. The images didn’t pop; so finally I just pulled out the totally trusty D40 and took this photo. Here’s what I have discovered about wisteria: at best; its illusive. It winds its way into our hearts because it is a very romantic, but that’s about it . . .  Well, except it is a very southern plant and well worthy of a decent photograph.
