Sunset on Sanibel Island

Posted by AR on September 2nd, 2008 filed in Islands and Beaches

The causeway between Sanibel and Captiva is in the background. This area is filled with sea shells. Sometimes there are so many that you just can’t dig through all of them.

Shells are deposited on shore with every turn of the waves.
