Lake Levels Back

Most of the area lakes in north Georgia are almost back to normal. This was taken at Red Top Mountain State Park. Too bad the drought continues and the heat this weekend was intense.

Saturday on Portobello Road

The following six photographs are just simple snapshots taken on a small Nikon point and shoot camera. I did not want to take my other one out of the bag because it was raining and the crowd of people were close and pressing. I wish I had taken more, but I was torn because I also wanted to enjoy looking in the shops. One of the things that struck me while I was in England this time was the enormity of everything. Nothing is small or insignificant.

Few Things Like This

Sometime, I would like to spend an entire day going from table to table and shop to shop. You never know what you will find. Time was short, and we only had one morning to cover a small portion of what is billed as the world’s largest and oldest antique market. After being there, I believe it.

There Are Always Roses

One moment you are walking past towering rose bushes and the next, you are entrapped in a dense crowd of people. I have a feeling it is the complete package of Portobello Road that makes this area so attractive to so many.
